Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Doorstep collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the way we communicate with you. The privacy of your medical records is also described in our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

Information we collect

We collect the information you give us and a small amount of technical information from your visit to this website:

  • Information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, service or mailing address, and details about your condition or injury when you contact us, book a visit, or are referred to us.
  • Health information: the notes and records we create when we evaluate and treat you.
  • Information from partners: if an attorney or physician refers you, we receive the contact and case details they share with us.
  • Website information: basic analytics such as the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device or browser type, collected through standard web tools.

How we use it

We use your information to schedule and provide your care, coordinate your treatment, prepare your Good Faith Estimate and bills, and communicate with you and with any attorney or physician involved in your case. We also use it to run and improve our practice and this website. For personal-injury patients, we use case information to document care and to coordinate lien or Letter of Protection arrangements.

How we share it

We share information only as needed to provide and be paid for your care, and as the law allows or requires. This may include:

  • the clinician who treats you;
  • your referring attorney or physician, and, for personal-injury cases, the parties and platforms involved in records, billing, and case funding (such as MoveDocs);
  • service providers who help us operate — for example scheduling, billing, or website hosting — under agreements that require them to protect your information;
  • others when you ask us to, or when we are required to by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. You can also ask us to contact you in a particular way. To make a request, email us at hello@movewithdoorstep.com.
